This week, Riverbanks was proud to host BBC Radio 1 Newsbeat to discuss the safety in cosmeticmedicine and the importance of psychological profiling before treatments. Reporter Maddii Lown visited the clinic to interview Dr Ravi Jain about his views on these topics. Dr Jain also expressed his outrage at the so-called 'academies' which train non-medical people and reality TV show stars in providing dermal filler injections. 

These establishments must be closed down as they are fooling the students in to thinking they are receiving the same training as doctors (in 2 days) and also taking advantage of cash strapped models who want to look like celebrities but can't afford it.

In the first article,the BBC interview Dr Ravi Jain where he discusses psychological profiling. At Riverbanks, all new patients are asked to complete a profile questionnaire, and further examination is done during their consultations. 

Dr Jain says, 'although some of the questions may seem uncomfortable to answer, they are in place to ensure that the appropriate treatment is discussed for the patient. The patients safety is our primary concern.'
