Most other clinics use painful and ineffective IPL systems or just painful Laser systems. At Riverbanks, we use the award winning Soprano XL system which uses a special laser which causes hardly any discomfort at all. It is extremely effective and works well in even dark skins. Many of our patients start off with having smaller areas treated such as the under arms or bikini areas, or the top lip and when they see the amazing results they get they then book to have larger areas such as their arms or legs treated. 

Men tend to go for bigger areas straight away such as back, chest and abdomen.

Usually between 6-12 treatments are required to bring the hair growth under control. But it depends on the thickness of your hair and also your skin type and medical conditions. Pregnancy and some medications can make the treatments ineffective so you should check with your therapist first before starting a course.

The very latest in laser hair removal is the Soprano XL SHR system. SHR stands for Super Hair Removal mode and this makes hair removal more comfortable than traditional laser hair removal. For many people the system is completely painless, but if you have darker skin then there may be mild discomfort, a lot less than with typical lasers.
