Dermal Fillers

Riverbanks’ dermal fillers range from temporary, lasting up to 6 months to semi-permanent, lasting up to 2 years. We have never used permanent dermal fillers as we feel that they carry too much of a risk of complications.

There are several types of fillers, each with their own benefits and effects; the ones we believe are best, and which we use here at our clinic, are Restylane, Radiesse, Juvéderm® Ultra & the most advanced hyaluronic acid of them all, Emervel.

Dermal fillers work to mimic the skin’s production of collagen to ‘plump up’ and fill out lines or depressions in the skin, or hollows in areas such as the cheeks, for a fresher, more toned and youthful appearance. This improvement in overall skin surface quality acts to re-elasticate the contours of the face, for a non-surgical ‘lift’ that is highly effective, but nonetheless subtle and natural.

Hyaluronic Acid type fillers such as Restylane and Emervel can be used almost anywhere, including the lips.

Collagen stimulating fillers

Radiesse is excellent for more severe lines as well as recontouring the face and also rejuvenating the hands. Radiesse not only gives immediate lifting effects but it also stimulates the skin to grow some of its own collagen.

Patient Testimonials

“None of my friends have guessed I’ve had any work done - but they keep asking if I’ve been on holiday as I look so refreshed - Thank you so much” - Ann, North London

“I was really scared about looking like a freak but you reassured me and gave the most natural looking results. THANK YOU” -
Jackie, Herts

"I have been attending Riverbanks clinic on a regular basis for cosmetic treatments. Before attending my first consultation, I admit I was feeling a little apprehensive and unsure of what to expect. Dr Jain and his very helpful colleagues immediately made me feel very relaxed and answered my queries regarding my chosen treatment. I actually had the treatment there and then. I will continue to attend as I am 100% happy with the excellent service that I have received."
VERA, Bedfordshire

Treatment FAQS

What is Restylane?

Restylane is a range of products for facial aesthetic treatments made in Sweden. They are designed to effectively reduce the appearance of unwanted wrinkles, contour and create volume in facial features such as the cheeks, chin and lips, and to revitalise the skin. Restylane is a gel based on stabilized hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a substance that naturally exists in your body. The gel is injected into the skin through a needle or cannula by a trained Restylane practitioner (in the UK a Restylane practitioner is a medical professional such as Plastic Surgeon, Cosmetic Doctor, Dermatologist, Costmetic Dentist, or Aesthetic Nurse).

Since 2010, the Restylane range has been extended to include a skincare range which can be used in conjunction with Restylane treatments, or as a skincare regime in it's own right.

What are the benefits of Restylane?

A treatment with Restylane provides an easy way to enhance your looks. The result of a single treatment can be seen instantly, and  lasts around one year*. With Restylane you will achieve  a natural looking result that does not affect facial expression as Restylane is not a toxin.  Remember your face changes over time, Restylane allows you to control you looks subtly as you age.

Restylane is the most scientifically documented HA based dermal filler in the world with comprehensive studies that support its safety and efficacy. Restylane has been used in over 11 million treatments worldwide during the last 15 years.

* An initial course of Restylane skinbooster treatments is recommended for the best aesthetic outcome, consult your Restylane practitioner to discuss your personal treatment needs.  Duration can vary and is dependant upon your body's own metabolism, genetics, lifestyle as well as area treated.
