At Riverbanks Clinic, we are delighted to welcome on board Annalisa Phillips, our semi-permanent make-up specialist.

You want to look good and probably invest time each day in applying make up – whether that’s a sweep of mascara and a slick of lipgloss, or something more – it adds to your routine. If you could wake up, look in the mirror and look fantastic – without having to get the mascara, eye-liner and lipstick out - how would that feel?

It’s not an impossible dream – with semi-permanent make-up you can skip the smudged, uneven eyeliner, lipstick that comes off before you get out of the door and poking yourself in they eye with the mascara wand!

Think beautiful brows that always look immaculate – and never straggle. Forget those nasty hard lines from the 1950s; today’s semi-permanent eyebrows look entirely natural, hair-by-perfect-hair!

Imagine wide open sparkling eyes – and you can choose to have a subtle liner on the upper lids, extend this to the lower lashes or go for more dramatic ‘smokey’ eyes.

See those perfectly shaped lips you want, subtley coloured to give your mouth a blush – all you need is a little gloss to finish it off.

AM I SUITABLE FOR PERMANENT MAKE-UP?

If you have features you would like to enhance, correct or rebalance, or would just like to look your best 24/7 then permanent make-up is perfect for you.

HOW IS IT DONE?

A technique similar to conventional tattooing. Measurements of the face are taken to ensure the most aesthetically pleasing shape and the placement of your permanent make-up is achieved. All procedures are drawn onto the skin using conventional make-up before the treatment to ensure you are 100% with the end results.

IS THE PROCEDURE SAFE?

Absolutely, all permanent make-up specialists follow a strict code of practice. Annalisa only works with pigments that are non-toxic and meet European medical standards.

DOES IT HURT?

All treatments are performed with your comfort in mind. Anaesthetics are used as an effective numbing agent to minimise discomfort.

HOW LONG DOES THE PROCEDURE TAKE?

It is advisable to allow two hours in total. Colour refresher procedures are approximately one and a half hours.

HOW LONG WILL IT LAST?

Permanent make-up can last for many years dependant on skin type, sun exposure and lifestyle of the individual, but as a guide, three to five years is average.
